I like this one better if the alternative was the one with the bluish background...
The angle is much more... It feels more balanced, if you get what I mean? I like how you've left more space around it and how you've subtly positioned the flower to the side, although not by much. It's interesting to see such a small thing make such a great difference.
The colours also complement each other better. With the blue and yellow on the previous, it was a bit too strong, whereas this one.. it feels more right, more comfortable?
I think the depth of field works well with the subject matter. I feel as if there's also a slight vignette, but it's really hard to tell... if there is, then that's brilliant. If not, don't worry about it.
